"Birth is not only about making babies. It is about making parents — strong, competent, capable parents who trust themselves and know their inner strength." — Adapted from Barbara Katz Rothman
What I do
Prenatal Support
Comprehensive guidance through all stages of pregnancy including birth planning and navigating postpartum goals before baby arrives. Assuring that your mental and physical wellbeing are taken care of to the best of my ability within the doula scope of practice.
Â
Visits can include birth and postpartum planning, education on specific topics(cloth diapering, baby wearing, etc.), light housework, shopping assistance, or other small things that need to be prepared before baby's arrival.
Birth Support
Providing a calming presence and support during labor, ensuring a safe and empowering environment for a smooth transition into parenthood. This may be a hospital setting, birthing center, or home birth.Â

I will be present during active labor to support your mind and body with comfort measures such as counter pressure, use of birthing balls, aromatherapy, music, soft lighting, and anything else that might assist in relaxation.

Postpartum Care
Continued support after the birth, helping you navigate the emotional and physical changes of the first weeks of parenthood with compassion and care.

Immediate postpartum support after birth until you are ready for private baby bonding.

Postpartum visits will aim to support healing. These may include light housework, shopping assistance, holding baby during self-care, and other small tasks that remove stress from your space.

About Me
Hi, my name is Bethany and I'm a Full-Spectrum Doula. I started my birth work journey as a Respiratory Therapist working in hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Units. During this work, I had the privilege of attending over 1,000 high-risk births and caring for many pre-term & other infants who were not able to breathe on their own.

Over my 8 year career as a Respiratory Therapist, I gained a wealth of clinical knowledge that I am carrying into my work as a Full-Spectrum Doula.
Â
Now, as a Doula, I have learned to foster self-advocacy and support all stages of birth. I will be relocating to my home town of Tehachapi, CA and I plan to serve surrounding communities as well to provide informed support to any birthing person or family type needing my services.
